12-year-old hit while crossing Commonwealth Ave.

A 12-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle while crossing Commonwealth Avenue Friday morning and airlifted to a Boston-area hospital to be treated for injuries.

Acton Police and Fire responded to the accident at Commonwealth Avenue by Bradford Street at 7:34 a.m. on Feb. 3.

The girl was immediately treated at the scene by Acton EMS before transferring to the helicopter for further treatment. Her condition is unknown.

The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
