After multiple car break-ins, police remind residents to lock up
Police received five reports from residents who discovered their cars had been rummaged through the night of July 22.
Acton police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles after several cars were entered in the Laws Brook Road area in West Acton overnight this week.
Capt. Brian Goldman said police received five reports from residents who discovered their cars had been rummaged through the night of July 22. All of the vehicles had been left unlocked, and although some items were taken, no major thefts were reported.
“This happens from time to time, where someone will come through and check the doors of things,” Goldman said.
He added that Acton was also hit that night.
Goldman urged residents to be vigilant and to take simple precautions like locking all doors, not just car doors, and removing valuables.
If your car was broken into, or if you have information about Tuesday’s break-ins, you can call the non-emergency dispatch line at (978) 318-3400.
