Acton schools, town offices, libraries closed Monday as snow sets in
News you can use on closures and how to get help in a weather-related emergency.

Acton preemptively announced Monday school and municipal office closures as heavy snow set in on Sunday afternoon.
On Sunday, the National Weather Service predicted 6-10 inches of snow piling up here during the day, and as much as 10-14 more inches accumulating overnight, with snow ending Monday after a final 1-3 inches finally falls.
Preschool, public schools, Launch, and the Ripley Administrative Building will close due to the weather.
The same goes for the Beede Swim & Fitness Center and public libraries.
The Town Caucus, originally scheduled for Monday night to nominate candidates for open slots on the Select Board, School Committee, and Housing Authority, plus a town moderator, had already been delayed to Tuesday evening.
Courts statewide, including Acton District Court, are closed Monday.

Town Communication Manager Donna McIntosh said Sunday afternoon that there was “no indication” that either library location was being used as a warming center on Saturday as Acton prepared for the storm.
