Duane J.T. Jenkins, 63, passed away May 1, 2025, in Lunenburg. Born October 1, 1961, in Illinois, Duane lived a quiet life and will be remembered for his shy grin, sense of humor, and the warmth he brought into the lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A graduate of Acton-Carlisle High School, Duane built a respected career as a carpenter. His meticulous attention to detail and pride in his work earned him admiration from clients and colleagues alike. More than just a tradesman, he was a mentor who inspired others through his dedication and skill.

From an early age, Duane was drawn to beekeeping. He lovingly tended his hives and was proud to share his award-winning honey and handcrafted beeswax candles. He later found joy in helping others start their own hives. Fishing was another passion of his, especially deep sea trips shared with his daughters — moments that reflected the patience and strength that defined him.

Duane was a proud father who deeply cherished his daughters. He is survived by Alison Tracy and her husband Bryan of Pennsylvania, and Amanda Jenkins and her fiancé Conrad of New Hampshire. His love for his daughters was evident in the way he beamed whenever he spoke of them and their accomplishments.

He is also remembered by his mother Berni Jenkins and her husband Bob Andrews of Acton; sister Diane Gallagher and her husband Jim of Maine; brother Jeff Jenkins and his wife Stephanie of New Hampshire; and sister Karen Jenkins of Connecticut. His extended family includes many stepbrothers, stepsisters, nieces, and nephews. His beloved cat Fuzzy remained a constant companion.

Duane was predeceased by his father H. David Jenkins and his brother Rick Steder.

There will be a small family gathering to share remembrances of Duane. Friends are encouraged to honor him by sharing stories at his favorite local hangouts.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
