Monarch caterpillars have been enjoying a buffet of milkweed in and around Acton’s Natural Resources Division office ahead of their annual migration. The office raises caterpillars in a mesh habitat and releases them once they hatch as butterflies. For humans, it’s “part education, part fun,” Natural Resources Director Delia Kaye told The Acton Bridge. For the bugs, the short stay indoors may be one of their last stops before they migrate south for the winter.
