There will be dancing in the streets of West Acton on June 14 as the village holds its sixth annual Porchfest.
The free community music festival runs from 1-5 p.m., with a June 15 rain date.
This year there will be 58 acts — the most ever, organizers say — with bands playing in the neighborhood around Thoreau Elementary School, but also at village locations: Debra’s Natural Gourmet, Reflections Women’s Consignment, Junction Park, Acton Teacakes, and The Guitar Museum of New England. Acts of genres including rock, jazz, and classical, will play in hour-long slots.
Street parking is limited, with more available in the West Acton MBTA commuter rail lot.
Find Porchfest maps, which include the music schedule, available public restrooms, and food vendors, at WestConcordPorchfest.org. Printed maps will be available at the Harvey Wheeler Community Center and Thoreau Elementary School that day.
The West Acton Cultural Committee and the Mass Cultural Council are sponsoring the event.
