William Rich, Jr

William F. Rich, Jr. age 79 and resident of Maynard, formerly of Acton passed away on Friday, Dec. 2.

Born in Boston on July 19, 1943, he was the son of the late William F. Rich, Sr. and Hazel F. (Baker) Rich. William was raised in Acton and graduated from Acton Carlisle High School in 1960.  He worked for many years as a police officer for Boston University.

Bill enjoyed canoeing, fishing, poetry, running and the company of his cats.

He is survived by his brother Kenneth E. Rich and his wife Janet, nephew Brian Rich and his sister Diane Mayers and her family.

Services and burial in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Acton will be private.
