A notable absence in the 250 parade

There will be no veterans groups participating in the 250 parade here in Acton. A member of the 250 invitations committee informed me that anyone wanting to participate in the parade needed to apply by the end of January.

No military invited to this parade? Am I missing something? This seems wrong,

I hope the committee decides to invite the 500+ veterans in this town to participate in the parade.
