Ask questions, offer ideas September 17 at forum about MCI-Acton makeover
Led by Wendy Rovelli and Rob Almeida, we will discuss the summer’s work and what comes next.
Over the summer, the MCI Acton Master Plan Committee met regularly to review the community’s June responses to the initial plans for the MCI-Acton site.
The committee heard from consultants about design, transportation, infrastructure needs, and residential and commercial development. It also worked with MassDOT on the Route 2 rotary and with the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM), the state agency that owns the site.
Thanks to the early efforts of state Rep. Simon Cataldo, Acton’s leaders have been working closely with DCAMM throughout the process. The town was to present the latest plans at a public meeting on September 9 in the Acton-Carlisle High School theater.
For a more personal discussion and exchange of ideas, please join us at the League of Women Voters of Acton-Carlisle’s “Future of MCI-Acton” community forum on Thursday, September 17 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Acton Free Public Library and via Zoom.
Led by Wendy Rovelli, Select Board chair and co-chair of the MCI Acton Master Plan Committee, and Rob Almeida, chair of the Planning Board, and members of their committees, we will discuss the summer’s work and what comes next.
This will be an opportunity to respond to what we learned at the September 9 presentation, ask questions, share your thoughts with town leaders, and be part of the conversation about the future of MCI-Acton.
Event details are available at LWVCC.org.
