Banfield focused on tax burden as town’s capital projects loom
Dean has been active in many town initiatives, and his experience on the Finance Committee will be especially valuable.
I enthusiastically support Dean Banfield as a candidate for the Select Board. I have known Dean for almost 30 years and have collaborated with him on the Natural Resources Committee, the 2015 Open Space and Recreation Plan, and numerous discussions during the construction of the new Acton-Carlisle High School building. Dean has been active in many town initiatives, and his experience on the Finance Committee will be especially valuable as a member of the Select Board.
Dean recognizes the increasing tax burdens resulting from recent town capital projects and is focused on setting guardrails to protect both new families and longtime residents as we evaluate additional capital needs such as Public Works and Public Safety facilities, MCI, and 2229 Main Street.
I appreciate Dean’s dedication to environmental sustainability. Dean led the Solar Task Force that created our solar production plan. This year, Dean is requesting that Town Meeting mandate cost-effective solar installations on all new town-owned buildings during construction.
Dean is committed to our community and dedicated to the opportunities and responsibilities that come with serving on the Select Board. Please join me in supporting Dean on March 31.
