Banfield uniquely qualified for Select Board seat

We have some serious challenges to face, and I believe Dean will be an asset to the town as we work our way through them.

I have known Dean Banfield for many years and have always been impressed by his love of Acton and his desire to make it a more affordable, more efficient, more sustainable town while preserving its natural beauty and unique history. Dean has worked hard to improve the environmental and financial health of Acton in his time on the Community Preservation Committee, the Natural Resources Commission, and the Finance Committee.

Dean is a big proponent of renewable energy and is tireless in his efforts to hold the town accountable to meet its carbon goals and reduce its carbon footprint. His time on the Acton Solar Implementation Task Force has given him a solid grounding in the issues involved in meeting these commitments.

Dean’s financial background and his time on Acton’s town committees uniquely position him to tackle our financial and environmental problems in practical and effective ways. He is a hard worker and makes sure he has all the facts at his disposal before deciding on a course of action. We have some serious challenges to face in the coming years, and I believe Dean will be an asset to the town as we work our way through them.

Dean’s long record in serving the town has given him the experience he needs to be an effective member of the Select Board from day one. I encourage you to join me in voting for Dean.
