Before a packed house on Senior Night on January 30, the six seniors on the Acton-Carlisle boys hockey team played key roles in delivering a 3-0 victory over the Waltham Hawks in a key Dual County League matchup.

  • Team record: Overall 7-5-2; Dual County League 6-2-1
  • Big game: Goaltender Sam Griswold stopped 38 shots to earn his fifth shutout of the season. Theo Price fired in a rebound on the power play to start the scoring. Joe Grasso notched the game’s second goal, and Declan Daley assisted on Price’s tally. Alex Fivek touched off fan celebrations with his game-sealing goal late in the third period.
  • Unsung heroes: Will Steffens’ physical defensive play consistently frustrated Waltham’s forwards. Tommy McKenna and Owen Moynihan led the team with four hits each, and Tyler Kamionek provided a sparkling assist on the game’s final goal.
