The Acton-Carlisle boys lacrosse team capped the regular season with a pair of wins that brought its record to 15-3.

The Patriots battled through cold and rain last week to grind out a 7-6 win over Nashoba Regional. After CC fell behind 2-0 early, Alex Fivek got the Patriots on the board with a man-up goal to cut the deficit. A hustle play by Jason Swaim extended a possession and set up Alex Kosicki’s goal to tie the game at 2-2.

Taylor Ladd gave CC its first lead with a slick finish on the crease, and Swaim added another off a feed from Mathew Carleton after a string of impressive saves by goalie Henry Morgan. David Thut stood out as a disruptive long-stick midfielder, while Peter Burke scooped up a key ground ball and found Lucas Lundberg in transition to make it 5-3.

After a tight third quarter, the Patriots opened the fourth with a long, patient possession that ended in another Lundberg goal. Eric Palmer added a backhanded score to stretch the lead to 7-4. Nashoba brought the game to within one goal in the final minutes, but Morgan made a last-second save to secure the win.

The Patriots honored their 10 graduating seniors before last Friday’s game against Belmont and came away with a 12-2 win.

Palmer started the scoring and continued his strong week with multiple early goals. John Anderson followed with a determined unassisted effort, and Fivek buried a pass from Sam Griswold to extend the lead.

Palmer added another goal to make it 4–0, and Carleton ripped a man-up strike to put CC up 8–0. Tyler Shephard set up Ladd for a clean finish, and long-stick midfielder Stoddard Healy scored a rare long pole goal. Chris Simms capped the night with a fourth-quarter goal.

The Patriots now await news of their first-round tournament opponent.
