On April 14, the Patriots came away with a dramatic 9-8 victory over Newburyport, capped by a last-minute goal from senior Eric Palmer — his second of the game.

Senior Jason Swain led the scoring effort with a hat trick, while sophomore Alex Fivek added two goals. Senior Taylor Ladd and sophomore Lukas Lundberg chipped in with one goal each in the hard-fought road win.

Back home on April 17, CC pulled off a 10–7 upset over a strong Reading team.

Goalie Henry Morgan set the tone early with more than 10 first-half saves, anchoring a strong effort by the entire defense. The offense was able to capitalize with transition goals from Alex Kosicki and Fivek, tying the game 4-4 just before halftime.

Early in the third quarter, Eric Palmer set up Fivek to give the Patriots a 5–4 lead. Fivek scored again just before the end of the quarter off a gritty ground ball and feed from Kosicki. Kosicki later added another goal.

With the score 9–6 late in the fourth, Morgan made a critical point-blank save, and Swaim sealed the win with a late goal to put CC up 10–7.

The boys were scheduled to face Lexington over April vacation.
