CCC lauds longtime board member Stephan Bader
This month, we honored our longest-serving board member with a ceremony at our West Acton location.
As a non-profit organization, Acton Children’s Center is governed by a board of directors comprising parents, staff, and community members. This month, we honored our longest-serving board member, Stephan Bader, with a ceremony at our West Acton location.
Stephan served on the center’s board for almost 20 years, from 2002-2006 and then from 2010-2025. Thanks to his leadership as our treasurer and a member of the Finance Committee, including seeing us through the construction of two buildings and the challenges of Covid, CCC today is in a strong financial position as we start our second 50 years.
We have planted a tree outside our West Acton infant/toddler playground at the corner of Main and Church Streets in honor of Stephan and his work for not only CCC but the Town of Acton. In addition to serving on our board, Stephan is on the board of the Friends of the Acton Free Public Library, a member of the Acton Housing Authority, and a member of the board of the League of Women Voters of Acton-Carlisle.
This tree is accompanied by a plaque reading: “In honor of Stephan Bader, CCC Treasurer, for his tireless service to the children and families of Acton.”
We are grateful to Stephan for his work and dedication to CCC as well as to the Town of Acton.
