CCHS football falls to Holliston

The Acton-Carlisle High School football team suffered a 34-0 road loss to a well-prepared Holliston squad on September 20.

Team record: Overall 0-2; Dual County League 0-0

Game changer: The Patriots were hanging in the game, down 7-0 in the second quarter, when a couple of turnovers forced by a tough Holliston defense led to two quick scores and a 21-0 Panthers lead at the half.

Unsung heroes: Running back Thomas Bury picked up 60 yards on 11 carries (5.5 yards per carry). Tight end/defensive lineman Alex Fivek had a couple of catches and played hard in the defensive trenches all game long.

Up next: The Pats hosted Algonquin at Memorial Stadium last night for the annual “Tackles For Cancer” game in support of Kicks For Cancer.
