CCHS’ Kyle Amouzgar closes season with two all-New England bouts
Amouzgar competed at the New England Wrestling Championships as the No. 25 seed in the 157-pound class.
Kyle Amouzgar represented Acton-Carlisle High School at the New England Wrestling Championships last weekend as the No. 25 seed in the 157-pound class. Amouzgar’s first-round opponent, No. 8 seed Anthony Lombardi, from Mount Hope High School in Bristol, Rhode Island, proved a formidable wrestler and bested Amouzgar by tech fall, 23-8.
Amouzgar was matched in the consolation draw against No. 10 seed Jacob Hamm, from Keene (New Hampshire) High School. After three tough periods, Hamm edged Amouzgar with a 6-3 final score.
