CCHS rugby kicks off season with a 40–5 win
The team overpowered the Blue Hills Regional Tech Development squad.

The Acton-Carlisle High School rugby team overpowered the Blue Hills Regional Tech Development squad with a decisive 40-5 victory in the Patriots’ April 11 season opener.
Despite a sluggish start on defense, CCHS soon found its rhythm. Rookie Harry Gamber put his side on the board with a blockbusting run off a lineout, smashing through the Blue Hills defense to score his first career try. From there, Acton-Carlisle never looked back.
The defensive effort around the ruck was stifling, with Geo Gaetan Anyouzo and Jayden Sandlin proving impenetrable, setting the tone with relentless physicality.
The backline also stepped up. Rhys Johnson and Tyler Colgin brought aggressive pressure on the outside, and Johnson added two tries of his own, capitalizing on sharp support play. Flyhalf Jamie Poole scored twice and set up more opportunities with pinpoint kicking and composed leadership.
The Patriots continued their season against Chelmsford on April 16.
