Acton Indivisible’s community work shows change starts at the local level

We don’t just talk about the issues; we do the simple grassroots work required to strengthen our community and country.

Like many citizens of Acton, I used to wonder how to turn civic energy into meaningful action. The turbulence of the present has made that an urgent question. The headlines can feel overwhelming, but all change begins at the local level, as our town’s history reminds us at every turn.

That is why I joined Acton Indivisible, which like me, believes in caring for our neighbors, protecting the environment, and defending democracy.

Through community huddles, postcard-writing campaigns, and local events, like the recent No Kings rallies and the weekly standouts at Hanscom in support of immigrant rights, Acton Indivisible provides practical connections with neighbors, from Acton and neighboring communities, who share a commitment to democratic values. We don’t just talk about the issues; we do the simple grassroots work required to strengthen our community and country.

If you have felt like you need a way to make a tangible difference, I encourage you to get involved. Reach out, subscribe to concordindivisible.org, or join an upcoming event.
