Dean Banfield will bring intelligence, experience to Acton’s Select Board
Dean has personality traits that will make him especially effective at this time in Acton. Dean doesn’t hesitate to do the right thing.
I heartily endorse Dean Banfield for Select Board. To be an effective member of the Select Board, you need three essential qualities, and Dean has them all.
First, Dean has the intelligence. He’s a very quick learner, and we can count on him to come up to speed very quickly on pretty much any topic that will come before the Select Board.
Second, Dean has experience in our Acton town government: He’s served on several important town committees, authored citizen petitions, and served as deputy moderator. So we know he will be able to hit the ground running, and he will be able to really get things done.
Last, but perhaps most important, Dean has personality traits that will make him especially effective at this time in Acton. Dean doesn’t hesitate to do the right thing.
He’s not afraid to speak his mind. He is direct and doesn’t shy away from confrontation when it is needed.
For example, he’s helped the town live up to our own goals in the area of solar development. Dean has shown that he is persistent and tenacious, able to hold people accountable and ensure that important projects are pursued through completion.
Dean certainly has what we need now to help lead Acton into the future.
