Emerson ER expansion deserves our support
The doctors, nurses, and support staff provided me excellent care even in this overcrowded area.
Due to a medical problem, I was forced to call 911 and request emergency services from Acton EMS to get me to Emerson Hospital. Their response time was excellent. They stabilized me and got me to the Emerson emergency room. Very efficient and professional.
When they rolled me in, I was amazed how busy and crowded the ER was. There were emergency workers from Acton, Sudbury, Maynard, and of course Acton, bringing in patients requiring emergency services. And this was on a Wednesday afternoon. Again, the doctors, nurses, and support staff provided me excellent care even in this overcrowded area. Security personnel were also necessary.
As I understand, Emerson provides emergency services for 39 surrounding towns and communities. Anything we can do to support their drive to update and expand the ER would help not only Acton but all of central Massachusetts.
