Fowler Library in West Acton is ‘an incredible neighborhood asset’

The staff is always friendly, acknowledging folks as they enter, greeting the littlest clientele by name.

I feel so lucky to be in walking distance to Fowler Library. What a gem. This library branch in West Acton is an incredible neighborhood asset.

The staff is always friendly, acknowledging folks as they enter, greeting the littlest clientele by name. They are eager to help and will go the extra mile to track down whatever it is you need. There are even tote bags to check out for those times when you end up with more books than you can carry.

The outdoor area has tables and chairs, flower gardens thanks to the West Acton Green Thumbs, and is full of whimsy with funky flamingos atop stacks of books, a pollinator garden maze, cornhole games, and an entrancing mural of children’s book characters.

It is the essence of what is best about small-town services. I always leave with a smile.
