‘Fully support’ Newbury Court expansion at June Town Meeting
Now that I am a resident at Newbury Court, I appreciate its many contributions to the Acton community.
I write to support the zoning requests by Newbury Court for their newly acquired property across ORNAC.
I have lived in Acton for 55 years, and now that I am a resident at Newbury Court, I appreciate its many contributions to the Acton community.
First, it houses 2% of Acton’s population, enabling older residents to remain in their town.
Second, it employs about 500 persons, making it a meaningful employer in Acton.
Third, it pays more than $900,000 in taxes to Acton annually.
Fourth, Newbury Court is not for profit and totally service-focused, having evolved from its New England Deaconess Association roots over more than a century.
I hope our citizens will fully support our request at the June Town Meeting.
