The Acton-Carlisle girls hockey team secured its first victory of the season, 3-2, over Cambridge Rindge and Latin on January 10.
- Team record: Overall 1-6-0; Dual County League 1-4-0
- Big game: Co-captain Addy Healy scored twice and assisted on a third Patriots goal to lead the winning effort.
- Unsung hero: Bridget Fivek tallied the first goal of her varsity career — and the Pats’ second of the game — off a feed from Healy, who centered the puck from behind the CR&L net.
- Game changer: Healy put the Patriots ahead 1-0 just minutes into the contest. In the third period, Healy won an offensive zone faceoff and fired the puck just above the goalie’s glove for the unassisted, game-winning goal.
- Up next: The Pats traveled to Veterans Rink for a matchup against Waltham on January 14.
