O’Donnell to join U.S. under-19 soccer team
Acton-Carlisle’s Emmy O’Donnell has been named to the combined U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Team and U.S. Under-18 Youth National Team International Training Camp roster.
She will join her teammates in Portugal for a 10-day camp that will include matches against teams from Ireland (October 25) and Portugal (October 28).
O’Donnell, a junior, is currently the leading scorer in the Dual County League.
As a freshman, O’Donnell had six goals and seven assists. Last season, she was the second leading scorer, with eight goals and three assists, and earned All-State honors. She’s also a two-time Dual County All-League and Eastern Mass. All-Star and an Elite Clubs National League New England Conference Player of the Year.
In May, O’Donnell was one of 24 players nationwide — and the only one from Massachusetts — to be named to the U.S. Under-17 Women’s National Team.
