Gratitude to Emerson Hospital’s CEO for medical donations to help Ukraine
I would like all of Acton to acknowledge Christine Schuster and Emerson’s generosity and thank them for their aid to Ukraine.
Having grown up in Acton, Emerson Hospital has always been part of my life. As an adult, and a nurse, I have come to appreciate and respect Emerson Hospital in a different light. I realize what Emerson does for Acton and what it means to the Acton community. And now, in 2025, I see Emerson’s more far-reaching effects beyond Acton.
Since 2022, Christine Schuster, CEO of Emerson Hospital, has generously donated badly needed medical supplies to Ukraine, for the special forces and military hospitals on the front, as well as children’s hospitals in other areas. Everything from tourniquets to gloves, suture kits, wound care items (gauze, elastic wraps, bandages, tape, alcohol wipes, etc.), IV tubing, insulin syringes, miscellaneous syringes, thermometers, surgical scissors, and other items.
Thanks to Emerson Hospital, I have been able to ship medical supplies to my contact in Ukraine, Jan Andersen, who delivers the supplies to the front. My last shipment was 15 boxes, 21 before that, and 12 before that, as well as others since 2022.
I would like all of Acton to acknowledge Christine Schuster and Emerson’s generosity and thank them for their aid to Ukraine. These supplies have saved lives and boosted morale.
