Hartman shows ‘passion for public service’

I have always been impressed by the energy of her spirit and the strength of her character.

I am proud to support Mary Hartman in her bid for re-election to the Select Board.

I have met Mary at various places around town over the years, and I have always been impressed by the energy of her spirit and the strength of her character. What impresses me most about Mary is her passion for public service and good, responsible governance. Her résumé is impeccable. I appreciate the variety of experiences she brings to the table: her background in business, finance, and education; her volunteer work within the community; and her active participation at different levels of town government.

When asked about her priorities and her vision for the future of Acton, she articulates a clear understanding of the many challenges our town faces as we move forward. Mary is not only an articulate speaker but also a thoughtful listener. She understands that good government is a team effort and that success depends on being curious, keeping an open mind, and tirelessly working to foster cooperation and collaboration at all levels. I believe that Mary is 100% committed to this.

When planning for Acton’s future, we must be careful not to mortgage the town’s long-term well-being in pursuit of short-term gains. I am confident that Mary will continue to work diligently to balance the needs of residents, local businesses, schools, and public services in an equitable and sustainable manner. At the end of the day, I know that Mary will demonstrate strong, decisive leadership by making the tough decisions necessary for the best interests of the community at large.
