Acton-Carlisle golfers started strong but faltered late in the MIAA Division 1 Central Sectional on October 14. The team sat in the qualifying third position with a chance to advance to the state tournament but missed opportunities off the tee and around the green on the last few holes. That dropped the Patriots to seventh place, bringing their season to a painful and unexpected early end.

Big day: Senior leadership was on display as co-captain Theo Price fired an impressive 76 (+4) followed by Captain Ahrinn Desai with a 77. (+5) Both just missed the cut for individuals (+3) to move on to the state finals.

Up next: Dual County League all-stars Price, Desai, and Glen Murdough will compete in the DCL Invitational on October 22 at Wedgewood Pines Country Club in Stow.
