In a busy week, CCHS boys lacrosse improves to 12-1
The Patriots notched victories over Westford Academy, Wayland High School, and Dover-Sherborn.

The Acton-Carlisle High School boys lacrosse team continued its strong season with three convincing wins this week, improving its overall record to 12-1.
The Patriots notched victories over Westford Academy (12-6), Wayland High School (13-3), and Dover-Sherborn (13-3), showcasing depth, defensive strength, and balanced scoring.
CC came out firing against Westford. Alex Fivek opened the scoring off a sharp feed from Jason Swaim, then quickly added another to give the Patriots an early 2-1 edge. Goalie Henry Morgan made several big stops to protect the lead, while Mathew Carleton connected with Taylor Ladd for a smooth finish. Ladd later added a backhanded goal.

Defensively, Ladd, Peter Burke, and Evan Rowe played outstanding short-stick midfield. Swaim’s fast-break clear led to another Fivek goal before a lightning delay paused the game. The Patriots maintained control after the break and closed out a 12-6 win.
Goalies Jake Huff and Ben Wonsek anchored a strong defensive performance against Wayland as CC cruised to a 13-3 win. Both made impressive saves, and the defensive unit limited Wayland’s opportunities, holding them scoreless until the fourth quarter.
Aiden Bayes, Adler Kakas, Austin Ward, and Kenji Ma led the charge with aggressive, field-wide defense. The offense built an early cushion and maintained control throughout.

Despite challenging weather conditions, the Patriots exploded offensively and outscored Dover-Sherborn 9-1 during the second and third quarters after a 1-1 first-quarter deadlock. Fivek delivered a standout performance with five goals and an assist, and captain Eric Palmer added four goals.
The CC defense held firm behind strong performances from Sam Griswold, Stoddard Healy, and David Thut, who excelled in one-on-one coverage and clearing. Goalie Morgan tallied 10 saves.
The boys were scheduled to face Acton-Boxborough and Weston this week.
