Joe Laurin has commitment to the community

I am writing to strongly endorse Joe Laurin’s candidacy for the Acton Select Board. As a fellow trustee of The Scholarship Fund of Acton and Carlisle and someone who has worked closely with Joe for over five years, I can attest to his leadership and suitability for this vital role in our community.

Through our collaboration at The Scholarship Fund, I have witnessed his commitment to helping students in our community access higher education, his demonstrated capacity for creative problem-solving and strategic thinking, and his willingness to help others in the community. Joe’s ability to identify the key issues, ask probing questions, and propose innovative solutions will help the town of Acton as it grapples with complex challenges such as continued budget constraints/tradeoffs, MCI Acton redevelopment, and maintaining top-quality schools.

Joe’s commitment to the well-being of our community and his strong character and values make him a great candidate for the Select Board. I have seen firsthand his dedication to helping those who need a helping hand, his advocacy for what is right and fair, and his willingness to donate his time to support the community.

As a long-term Acton resident, I believe Joe Laurin is a strong candidate for the Select Board. I urge my fellow community members to join me in supporting Joe and to vote on April 8.
