Kindness 101: ‘I know you’re strong, but I can help you load’
I was loading the car with six 32-pound bags of Milorganite in front of Rocky’s Ace Hardware when a young man offered to help load.
The recent tribute to Robin Cicchetti titled ”Be kind. Just be kind.” by Priscilla Guiney on last week’s Opinion page was a delight to read. The afternoon after reading it, I was loading the car with six 32-pound bags of Milorganite in front of Rocky’s Ace Hardware when a young man offered to help load.
He was young, and I am old. He not only offered help, but he did so with sensitivity by saying something like, “I know you’re strong, but I can help you load.” I declined his kind offer but was reminded that our town is full of kind and sensitive people.
My thanks to this young man for his kindness and his excellent representation of Acton’s youth.
