League sessions contextualize Town Meeting topics
As thorough and helpful as the briefing book is, you might struggle over how to vote during Town Meeting.
When the town’s substantial briefing book arrives in your mailbox, you may feel a bit overwhelmed. You might ponder how to approach the 130-page document. As thorough and helpful as the briefing book is, you might struggle over how to vote during Town Meeting.
There is a way to help in your deliberations. The League of Women Voters of Acton-Carlisle held four briefing sessions, during which each of the more complicated articles was presented and discussed. What makes these experiences different from Town Meeting or town warrant review events is the fuller discussion and interchange between presenters and citizens that unhurried discourse allows. These can be viewed by going to the LWVCC website or by searching the Minuteman Media YouTube sessions.
We hope these videos will help in your considerations as you join us on June 2, 3, and 4 at the high school at 6:30 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there.
