Letter: Acton Indivisible plans rally to ‘Save Our Democracy’
On Saturday, January 6, a date we cannot forget, Acton Indivisible invites you to a rally to “Save Our Democracy” in front of the First Parish in Acton at 1 p.m.
The keynote speaker will be former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick. Joining him on the platform will be state Rep. Simon Cataldo; Robert Munro, dean of Academic Program and Equity at Acton Academy; and Danielle Allen, a political scientist and faculty member at Harvard University.
As the threat of losing our democracy to authoritarianism grows, a commitment to protecting it rises. Supporting respect for the law, fair voting for all Americans, loyalty to the Constitution, and working to serve our common good remain Acton Indivisible’s focus.
Please join us and vote with your feet for democracy and peace. Our collective presence counts. Come early and make a sign … and bring your friends and neighbors.
