Judges have huge power in the commonwealth. We citizens should be alert to the process that evaluates and recommends judges to our highest court.
Before I got to know Mara Dolan, I was not aware of the power of the Governor’s Council to recommend and approve the very best judges to protect our basic rights.
As a public defender, Mara has the experience to defend the vulnerable in the commonwealth — from victims of domestic abuse, juveniles who need rehabilitation versus incarceration, undocumented immigrants facing deportation, and residents who suffer from substance abuse disorders.
