Led by Brendan Quinn, Charlie MacDonald, and Joey and Jay Bodenrader, Acton-Carlisle High School’s boys cross country team overwhelmed Westford Academy with a 15-49 win on September 17. Patriots varsity and JV runners took the top six places and 11 of the top 12.

Team record: 1-0

Big day: Quinn led the whole way, had a 5:27 per mile pace, and ran his personal record for the hilly 2.7-mile home course.

Unsung heroes: Toby Martel and Cameron Smack also set personal records.

Up next: The Pats are running in two late-September invitational meets, the Frank Kelley and the Bay State Invitationals, both at the Wrentham Developmental Center. The Patriots’ next and last home meet of the season is October 8 vs. Newton South.
