Paul Boehm is committed to public service

My father’s long standing commitment to public service has been a true inspiration.

I am pleased to offer my wholehearted support for my father, Paul Boehm, as he runs for a seat on the Select Board.

Since returning to Acton nearly 15 years ago to raise my family, one of the greatest privileges has been the opportunity to have ongoing, meaningful conversations with my parents about the opportunities and challenges facing our shared community. With three generations of our family living in town, we are engaged in many aspects of life here.

My husband, Andrew, and I have made it a priority to become involved — I am active with the Thoreau Parent Teacher Group as a board member and committee chair and Andrew has served on multiple town committees including the Public Works Commission and the Planning Board.

My father’s long standing commitment to public service has been a true inspiration. His involvement in the Recreation Commission, the Community Preservation Committee, and many aspects of the 2229 Main Street project are just a few examples of how he has dedicated himself to the betterment of our town.

True to his approach to both business and public service, my father has devoted considerable time and energy to the early stages of his campaign, focused on listening, learning, and gathering information. He has met one-on-one with dozens of Acton residents, deepening his understanding of the complex issues we face — such as finances, housing, affordability, taxes, and inclusion — and building personal connections along the way.

When he announced his candidacy for the Select Board, I immediately recognized the valuable skills and perspective he would bring to the role. I have been honored to support his efforts as his campaign manager. I invite you to learn more about his values, priorities, and ways to get involved by visiting his website at PaulforConcord.org.
