Photos: Backboard benevolence

The second annual 3v3 for Charity event, held June 20 under sunny skies at Emerson Playground, raised more than $7,800 to support NMDP, a national bone marrow donor program. Combined with the inaugural 3v3 event last year, the van der Swaagh family has raised over $11,000 to date. A total of 48 players, ages 13-20, participated across three grade divisions in teams of three or four. All entry fees — along with a matching donation — went to NMDP.
