The Acton-Carlisle boys’ soccer team fell to rival Lincoln-Sudbury, 2-1, in the final match of Saturday’s 19th annual Lois Wells Memorial Kicks for Cancer tournament at CCHS. A capacity crowd of pink-clad Patriots fans did get to see junior Max Hepworth scoring the lone CC goal with one minute to go in the match. Since 2007, Kicks for Cancer has raised awareness and funds to support women’s cancer research, with a focus on early detection of ovarian cancer. The volunteer-run event is hosted by the Friends of CCHS Men’s Soccer.
