Recent upgrades expand accessibility along the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail
The Friends of BFRT thank Acton Public Works for making these improvements to the trail.
Recent changes to the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail in Acton have made the trail more accessible for all users. Two benches, funded by The Friends of BFRT and Acton Runners, have been installed south of Williams Road. The accessible parking space at Williams Road is adjacent to the trail.
Also the granite curb which had blocked access to the trail from the accessible parking space near Nashoba Brook has been replaced with a small ramp. Persons using adaptive devices will now be able to go directly from their vehicle to the trail.
The Friends of BFRT thank Acton Public Works for making these improvements to the trail. These changes align with the Friends’ mission to make the BFRT welcoming and accessible for people of all ages and abilities. See you on the trail.
