Regarding amenities building, let’s ‘vote no on this craziness’

Portable accessible toilets are well available and far more economical than bathrooms that will hardly ever get used.

On August 19, there will be a town special election to decide whether we spend $1.4 million on bathrooms for the sports fields, at a cost of about $170,000 per bathroom stall. This is insane money to spend on bathrooms, and everybody knows it, but there’s been the cry of “comply with the Disabilities Act so we don’t get sued.”

In fact, portable accessible toilets are well available and far more economical than bathrooms that will hardly ever get used.

More important, instead of letting the 276 voters who tried to make the choice for all 17,000 Concordians during our antiquated Town Meeting process, we can vote no on this craziness in a special election where everyone’s voices are heard.
