Select Board hopeful Dean Banfield is a ‘hard worker’ and ‘team player’

I can imagine Dean joining the Select Board, hitting the ground running, and adding value from day one.

I am supporting Dean Banfield in his run for Select Board. He has the requisite leadership capability and Acton background to guide us through challenging times. Dean understands Acton as well as anyone, including our rich resources and our approach to governance. We are fortunate to have Dean as he has the skills and energy to excel in this role.

Dean understands issues of equity and is committed to carrying us forward in a way that is equitable to all groups in Acton. This means paying close attention to our need for shared financial responsibility and affordability. Dean understands the issues confronting empty nesters and young families, and he has the financial planning skills to deal with these challenges. His FinCom experience, including as chair, puts Dean in a strong position here.

I have had the opportunity to work closely with Dean as a member of the Solar Implementation Task Force. Dean is a hard worker and a team player who brings enthusiasm and humor. Most important, while Dean respects process, he’s got a track record of getting things done. I can imagine Dean joining the Select Board, hitting the ground running, and adding value from day one.

We will be fortunate to have Dean continue our tradition of Select Board excellence.
