Vote Banfield for ‘knowledge, diplomacy, passion’
I found Dean to be thoughtful, with a great knowledge of both town and school operations and needs.
It has been my pleasure to have known Dean Banfield for over 10 years in both his capacity as a member of the Natural Resources Commission and the Finance Committee. As a member of the NRC, Dean proactively advocated for our project, ensuring we received the necessary conditions and approvals without unnecessary delays.
When I was the Acton member of the Minuteman School Committee, I found Dean, both as a Finance Committee chair and as a member, to be thoughtful, with a great knowledge of both town and school operations and needs.
Most importantly, Dean “gets it.” As a person who raised children in town, he understands the needs and stresses of parents as well as the difficulties facing seniors who wish to stay in their homes but cannot afford the ever-increasing taxes. Because of this, Dean is uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between the generations.
Lastly, Dean has been a key advocate for sustainability and for increasing solar on town and school buildings.
For these and many other reasons, Dean Banfield is the best candidate. He will bring knowledge, diplomacy, and passion to the Select Board.
