Warner’s Pond committee seeks members
The Natural Resources Commission invites letters of interest to serve on a new subcommittee focused on pond management.
Following the Warner’s Pond Task Force recommendation to convene a stakeholder committee to prepare and implement an adaptive management plan for Warner’s Pond, the Natural Resources Commission (NRC), at their October 29 meeting, approved the charge for a new NRC subcommittee, the Warner’s Pond Management Committee (WPMC).
The WPMC will work to improve the ecological health and recreational capacity of the pond, and will include clear and specific data collection, building on any previously collected data, for water quality, biodiversity, and sediment accumulation.
The NRC invites letters of interest to serve on the WPMC from community members committed to preserving and protecting Warner’s Pond. The Charge can be found on the NRC website (concordma.gov/732/Natural-Resources-Commission).
We would like to thank the Warner’s Pond Task Force for their diligence and many hours of hard work, and the community for their engagement and feedback.
