Warner’s Pond Task Force issues recommendations

A stakeholder committee would prepare and implement an adaptive management plan for Warner’s Pond,

At a meeting on June 12, 2025, the Warner’s Pond Task Force, after over a year of investigation, research, and discussion, approved a recommendation to the Natural Resource Commission. The recommendation is to convene a stakeholder committee that would prepare and implement an adaptive management plan for Warner’s Pond, which is detailed in the proposal.

This plan seeks to improve the ecological health and recreational capacity of Warner’s Pond that reflects the community criteria identified in Envision Acton — Bridge to 2030. We will be presenting this recommendation to the Natural Resource Commission at their July 16 meeting and request that they accept this proposal so that the new committee can begin the work of managing Warner’s Pond.

We would like to thank the members of the committee for their dedication and hard work. The final vote was seven members voting affirmatively (five endorsing and two who could live with it) with two members opposed. More details can be found on the Warner’s Pond Task Force website. We would like to thank the community for their support and feedback in helping us to reach this recommendation.
