We at E&S say goodbye and thank you

After 70 years of serving West Acton, the owners of E&S Mobile Service Inc. have closed our doors. Our father, Howie Soberg, and his business partner, Ted Edwardsen, opened in 1955 at the corner of Main Street and Baker Avenue, which is now TD Bank. They sold fuel for Mobil Oil and performed vehicle repairs and maintenance until 1968, when they decided to set up shop at 166 Commonwealth Avenue and sell fuel for Gulf Oil.

In 1978, we bought the business and continued our father’s tradition of working hard for our customers.

While we are ready to enjoy retirement, we want to say “thank you” to our loyal customers. And we had many of them. We also want to thank our hardworking employees over the years. We especially want to thank our brother, Dana, who has been a huge help and still is today. It’s been a great ride with a lot of fun and laughter.
