We must ‘promote academic achievement’

We urge a focus on our students and their well-being. Issues and concerns are what matter most, not people and personalities.

We are volunteers who have served on the School Committee in the past and who remain committed to the success of our school districts and those who serve our students. We note the recent attention to student life and school leadership being voiced by many citizens and applaud the respectful dialogues that advance constructive problem-solving.

All citizens are genuine stakeholders in public education, and we welcome their perspectives. We urge a focus on our students and their well-being. Issues and concerns are what matter most, not people and personalities.

As a community, let’s emphasize shared goals that promote academic achievement, safe environments for teaching and learning, transparent decision-making, and respect for differences. Inquiry and understanding, over advocacy and entrenched positions, will sustain the kind of community involvement that has been the foundation of our shared pride in our schools.
